Treasure....

 Today was a good day.

Andy and Jerry spent the day out at the property, clearing and burning. I threw the girls’ bikes in the bed of the truck and we went out about 4pm to check on them.

Patches, the neighbor dog, immediately greeted us upon arrival. She is such a sweet dog.  Hopefully Cooper will agree with us and be nice to her.

I was meandering around the property and found a couple of pieces of glass...which turned into finding a tiny piece of pottery or something of the like...which turned into the girls on a treasure hunt with me, which turned into Andy turning over more dirt for us with the excavator 😂 In the end we found quite a few pieces just in one area! One piece that was uncovered has the marking of the manufacturer in the bottom but I’ve yet to figure out what it is. It does appear to have the registered R mark on it, which didn’t come around until 1946 so I assume it is newer than that.  If you happen to have any ideas, please drop a line in the comments!  The round white piece we found appears to be a vintage electric fence insulator.

All in all there’s at least 5 different items that we’ve found fragments from. We are excited to go out today and look for more!

Any ideas?

I think this may be a small doll leg.

It appears most of the pieces found have been glazed.

Once again Mother Nature gave us a beautiful sunset and lots of other fun tidbits to photograph!
